Our Team
The portfolio management team for the Anfield Universal Fixed Income Fund is comprised of Cyrille Conseil, Peter Van de Zilver and David Young. They are supported by the Anfield Capital Management staff.
Cyrille Conseil, CFA
Senior Portfolio Manager
Cyrille is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Anfield Capital Management, LLC. He is the lead portfolio manager of the Anfield Universal Fixed Income Fund and is responsible for trading, credit research, and portfolio management. He is also a member of the Investment Committee.
Cyrille has over 30 years of investment management experience having previously worked with PIMCO for 12 years. He was an Executive Vice President, portfolio manager, and head of PIMCO’s global Leveraged Loan Desk, where he managed over $7 billion in assets under management. Prior to his portfolio management responsibilities, Cyrille was a senior member of PIMCO’s credit research team, where he was responsible for the coverage of the Telecom, Media, and Cable industries among other industries.
Cyrille holds the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation, an MBA with a concentration in finance and international business from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business, New York, NY. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he received a Bachelors of Science in Economics with a concentration in finance.
Peter van de Zilver, CFA
Portfolio Manager, Risk Management
Peter is the Director of Portfolio Analytics and Risk Management at Anfield Capital Management, LLC and member of the Investment Committee. Peter has over 40 years of investment management experience. He retired in 2010 from a senior position in PIMCO’s Portfolio Analytics group to work on developing quantitative trading algorithms. At PIMCO he was responsible for the architecture, development and implementation of many of their Analytics and Risk Management systems.
Peter holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and holds degrees in Physics, Mathematics and Economics from the Universities of Utrecht and Amsterdam, as well as an MA degree in Economics from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
David Young, CFA
Portfolio Manager, Global Strategy
David is the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer at Anfield Capital Management, LLC. With over 35 years of investment experience, David has worked with many of the largest and most sophisticated institutional and private investors in investment strategy, portfolio management, and asset allocation. At the end of 2008, he retired as Executive Vice President with PIMCO to rejoin the University of California, Irvine Merage School of Business as Adjunct Professor of Finance and create Anfield Capital Management, LLC. From 1999 to 2006, David was head of PIMCO’s account management group in London where he built a team of 25 investment professionals managing over 200 client accounts and approximately $50 billion in assets across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
David holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, an MBA with a concentration in finance from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine and degrees in Economics and Political Science from UC, Irvine. He has taught finance and investment courses at the Paul Merage School, the Financial Times Knowledge programs (UK), and CFA exam preparation courses sponsored by the CFA Society of Orange County, the USC/Los Angeles CFA Society, and UK CFA societies. David sits on several non-profit Investment Committees and Boards of Directors including the County of Orange (California) Healthcare System “CalOptima.”
Cameron Baxter, CFA
Portfolio Manager, Trader
Cameron is a Portfolio Manager and Trader at Anfield Capital Management, LLC. His responsibilities include investment, credit, portfolio research, trading, and ad hoc portfolio management-related projects. Cameron started with Anfield in December 2017 after previously spending two years at a material handling supply company in business development and operations analysis.
Cameron holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and maintains a Series 65 registration. Cameron graduated from The Master’s University with a bachelor’s degree in 2015.
